This is a very good quality reproduction of a large aerial view originally published in 1888. The image and text measures 20.25 x 28.5 inches on a sheet 22.5 x 35 inches. It is printed on a thick paper of excellent quality and could be mistaken by the unwary for an original piece (there is no photographic grid dot pattern). Overall light soiling on verso, light soiling in the margins, but image is clean and bright. A large bird's eye view of this the county seat of El Dorado county (where gold was discovered in California) is surrounded by small images of town buildings with a brief descriptive text below. $25.00 |
